Brief us
Why this shape

Prospects judge an accountant’s site the way they judge an accountant.

Most UK accountancy sites look like they were built by the same agency in 2014, with a stock photo of a calculator, a "Contact us" form that lands in nobody’s inbox, and a fee structure so vague the prospect rings the next firm on the list. A prospective client is judging your numeracy by your homepage. If the price page is hand-waving, the partner bios are stock, and the cloud-accounting badges are vague graphics that link nowhere, they assume the bookkeeping will feel the same.

We build accountancy sites the other way round: the fixed-fee selector, the cloud-accounting integrations and the partner credentials are the load-bearing structure, and the marketing wraps around them. Same operator team that runs Homemove, home.co.uk and homedata.co.uk — we’ve dealt with regulated data, audit-grade record keeping and integration plumbing on our own businesses since 2023. The £99 / month is what keeps the site current as the tax year, the rate card and the partner roster evolve.

What an accountancy site needs

Six things we build into every firm site.

Fixed-fee selector that quotes

Prospect picks entity type, turnover band, VAT status, payroll headcount and add-ons (R&D, CGT, company secretarial). The page returns a monthly subscription number from your rate card. Rate-card tweaks land in the £99 / month.

Cloud-accounting integration

Real Xero / QuickBooks / Sage / FreeAgent badges that link to your partner-status page on each platform. New enquiries can route into your onboarding queue (IRIS, Capium, BrightPay, AccountancyManager, Senta) the moment they qualify.

Partner bios that prove credentials

Each partner’s ICAEW / ACCA / AAT / CIOT / CIMA membership, practising-certificate status, specialisms (R&D, EMI, charity audit, probate, forensic, insolvency) and year of admission. Renderable, verifiable, schema’d as Person + AccountingService.

AML-aware enquiry routing

Public site captures client-type, services and any risk-flags, then routes the lead into your AML provider’s workflow (SmartSearch, Veriphy, AML365, Credas). The partner reviewing the lead has the context before any ID check is triggered.

Service taxonomy by client

Distinct paths for sole trader / LTD / partnership / charity / probate prospects. Each one sees the services that apply to them, the prices that apply to them, and the partner who handles them — not a generic 12-service mega-menu.

Trust band that matters

ICAEW / ACCA / AAT firm registration number, professional indemnity insurer, ICO registration, AML supervisory body. The credentials any client could verify if they wanted to, surfaced where they expect to see them — not buried on a terms page.

A year in practice

Eight peaks in the UK tax year. What the site does at each one.

The deadlines that actually shape a UK firm’s trading year, and what the site is quietly doing for you at each one inside the £99 / month.

January
Self Assessment crunch (31 Jan)
A "missed-the-deadline" / "fixed-fee SA" landing page with phone-first CTA; a calculator surfacing penalties and interest; partner-of-the-day rota; out-of-hours enquiry routing.
February
31 March year-end planning
Year-end planning content surfaced for clients with 31 March year-ends; dividend / salary blend reminders; pension top-up content; capital allowances refresh.
April
New tax year (6 Apr)
New personal allowance, NIC thresholds, payroll thresholds, dividend allowance, ISA limits and CGT exemption swapped in across every page that quotes a number. Old numbers archived, not deleted.
May – Jun
Year-end accounts season
Year-end accounts service page surfaced; bookkeeping handover workflow promoted; "switch to us" content live for clients moving away from a slower firm; lead-scoring tuned for accounts-only enquiries.
July
P11D deadline (6 Jul) / Q1 VAT
P11D and benefits-in-kind content surfaced; payroll bureau content; quarterly VAT reminders for stagger-1 clients (Mar/Jun/Sep/Dec); MTD-for-VAT explainer refreshed.
August – Sep
Year-end accounts continue / Q2 VAT
Corporation tax payment reminders for Dec year-ends; R&D claim landing page surfaced (RDEC and SME); confirmation-statement reminders woven into the dashboard.
October
Q3 VAT / paper SA deadline (31 Oct)
Self Assessment prep content brought forward; "ready by Christmas, not on the 31st" messaging; client-portal hand-over instructions refreshed; new joiner intake form re-tested.
Nov – Dec
Q4 VAT / pre-Jan SA rush
Self Assessment landing page goes to the homepage; capacity-management messaging ("we close to new SA work on 15 December"); calendar links to free 15-minute Christmas-week consultations; January queue depth surfaced honestly.

None of those changes are a separate engagement. Eight peaks in the tax year, the rate-card refresh and the partner roster updates — all inside the £99 / month. That’s the bill we’re removing.

How it works

Brief on Monday. Live by the end of the week.

01

Brief

Half-hour call with the managing partner. Service lines, rate card, partner roster, cloud-accounting stack, practice-management system, AML provider. One-page spec back the same day for the partners to sense-check.

02

Build

Design, copy, build, fixed-fee selector, cloud-accounting integration, AML-aware lead routing — across one working week. Staging URL by mid-week for a 15-minute partner-meeting review.

03

Run

£99 / month from launch. New tax-year thresholds, rate-card uplift, new partner, qualification milestone, R&D case study — email or WhatsApp it, we ship it. No hourly billing on edits.

Hundreds of unique website designs floating against a moonlit night sky — every one designed to its own brand, none templated.
Designed to spec

A million ways this could look. None of them templates.

Every site we build is designed to spec, branded for one client. No shared theme between brands. No component kit we recycle. Your site won’t look like anyone else’s because nobody else got your brief.

  • Designed to spec. Every page laid out fresh against your brief — not a pre-made template with your logo dropped in.
  • Branded to you. Typography, palette, motion language and component shape all chosen for this brand, not a previous client’s.
  • Yours forever. Code lives in a git repo that is yours from day one. No platform lock-in, no proprietary CMS, no exit fee.
FAQ

The managing partner’s questions.

Can the site plug into Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or FreeAgent for prospect onboarding?

Yes. We integrate the prospect intake with whichever cloud accounting stack you already run — Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Business Cloud, FreeAgent, or a mix. New enquiries can be captured, qualified by client-type (sole trader, LTD, partnership, charity), and pushed into your practice-management system or onboarding workflow (IRIS, Capium, BrightPay, AccountancyManager, Senta) as a triggered task — not a shared inbox the senior partner has to remember to check.

Will the site display our ICAEW / ACCA / AAT / CIOT / CIMA credentials properly?

Yes. Firm-level memberships (Chartered Accountants, ACCA, AAT-licensed) are surfaced in the footer credibility strip with the firm registration number. Individual partner pages carry each partner’s qualification, practising-certificate status, ICAEW / ACCA / CIOT / CIMA / AAT membership and year of admission. We render them as plain text so a curious client can verify them, and mark up the page with structured data so Google understands the credentials are real.

Can we offer a fixed-fee quote selector or "check my price" tool on the site?

Yes — this is one of the highest-converting things a modern UK firm can put on its homepage. Prospect picks the entity type (sole trader / LTD / partnership), turnover band, VAT status, payroll headcount and any add-ons (R&D claim, CGT return, company secretarial), and the calculator returns a monthly subscription number that matches your published rate card. Tweaks to the rate card land within the £99 / month; nobody waits for a developer to update a banded fee.

How do you handle AML and engagement-letter workflows on the public site?

The public site does not collect ID or signed engagement letters — that’s your AML provider’s job (SmartSearch, Veriphy, AML365, Credas) and your practice-management system’s job. What the public site does is route a qualified enquiry into your onboarding flow with the client-type, services, and any AML risk-flags captured cleanly, so the partner reviewing the lead has the context they need before triggering the AML check. Patient handover, no double-keying.

Can partner bios and qualifications be different per partner?

Yes — and they should be. Each partner gets their own page with their qualification, practising-certificate status, specialisms (e.g. R&D tax credits, EMI options, charity audit, probate, forensic, insolvency), languages spoken, and a clean head-and-shoulders photograph. We avoid the "founded in 1987, trusted for generations" stock paragraph — partner pages are the proof. Updates land in the £99 / month, including new joiners, leavers and qualification milestones.

What if I want to take the site somewhere else later?

You can, any time. The code lives in a git repository that is yours from day one. Cancel the £99 / month with one month’s notice and we hand over the codebase, any practice-management integration credentials, and deployment instructions; another developer can take over from there. No exit fee, no stranded partner bios, no platform you cannot leave.
